Fatty Lumpkin, Becoming a Riding Pony

Sailor,  aka Fatty Lumpkin, as all my horses end up with many nicknames has been on the slow path to learning to be a proper riding horse.  He is just 3, and finally seems ready for more regular work,  physically and mentally.

Today I rode him off the lunge line for the first time.   He is a good pony… but very fat.

I see a grazing muzzle in his future.
